T’ai Chi Ch’uan/Taijiquan:
This ancient Taoist Art is the most popular form of exercise in the world, bar none!
Developed to mimic nature and the Yin/Yang balance, movements are soft, well balanced and precise. It teaches you to be mindful, until expert, when you become ‘empty mined’. It also excels in improving health, both mental and physical.
T’ai Chi & Qigong for Health.
Dr Paul Lam (right in pic.) Discovered that more people would participate in a slightly cut-down style, focusing on balance, Qi flow and health aspects. Our classes have been enhanced by our experienced Chief Instructor and health results are even better. Qigong goes hand-in-hand with T’ai Chi Ch’uan.
Other possible classes:
Traditional Taoist Kung-Fu - a flowing style which has much in common with T’ai chi Ch’uan but is also more dynamic. One of our old students was a Doorman, and used many of the techniques he learned in both Taoist kung-Fu and Taijiquan!
We also have ‘Wild Rose’ Kung-fu: speciality techniques for the discerning females who want totally practical and effective self-defence as well as enjoyable fitness.
